PATS Telford 2023, the leading national trade event for the aquatic and pet industry in the UK, saw an unprecedented number of exhibitors. The event took place from October 1 to 2 at the Telford International Centre and is organized annually by Impact Exhibitions & Events Ltd.

Over 260 companies showcased their latest products during the two-day event. Additionally, there was a designated “New Starter Zone” where emerging brands had the chance to present their early-stage innovations. Marleybones, a company attending PATS for the first time this year, expressed their satisfaction with the experience.

“Having a stand at PATS has enabled us to meet so many independent pet retailers and groomers,” remarked Josephine Bager, co-founder of Marleybones. “We’re so pleased we took a stand.”

At the New Product Showcase, attendees had the opportunity to explore over 400 new products exhibited across two halls. A panel of industry experts was responsible for selecting the winners in various categories, including Cat Food and Products, Dog Food Products, and Dog Treat Products.

In the feline category, James & Steel received recognition for its BAM! point-of-sale retail display for catnip products. Naturaw secured the win in the Dog Food Products category for its Forage: Free Range Pork recipe, which emphasizes a reduced carbon footprint. In the Dog Treat category, Pet Treats Wholesale was honored for its Gourmet Advent Calendar.

“It’s our first time here so we didn’t know quite what to expect, but we’re just over the moon to have won in such a highly contested category,” expressed Louis Jolivet, director of Pet Treats Wholesale, another first-time PATS exhibitor. “PATS is a really relevant place for us to be right now as everyone seems to be looking for new suppliers and we’ve already made some great connections.”

PATS Telford 2024 is scheduled to take place from September 29 to October 1, marking the first year the event will span three days instead of two.

“PATS Telford creates a real buzz in the UK pet industry, and I’m 100% behind the move to a three-day show next year,” stated Sallie-Ann Reed, managing director for Rogz in the United Kingdom and Ireland.
