In Chrastany, Czech Republic, VAFO Praha recently expanded its Brit Veterinary Diet pet food line, tailored to meet the specific dietary needs of dogs and cats facing health challenges. This expansion introduces new wet and dry formulas, addressing concerns such as weight management, lipid absorption, food allergies, and intolerances.

The latest additions to the Brit Veterinary Diet range include:

  • Gastrointestinal, Low-Fat: This formula is designed for cats and dogs prone to obesity, dealing with lipid absorption disorders, triaditis, protein-losing enteropathy, or pancreatitis.
  • Sterilized: Geared towards aiding weight control and maintaining body condition in neutered cats and dogs.
  • Ultra-hypoallergenic: Formulated with insect protein for pets with food allergies or intolerances.
  • Veg High-fiber: Tailored to support optimal body weight in dogs experiencing colitis and diarrhea.

All products within this line are void of common food allergens like beef, dairy, wheat, corn, and soy. These formulas utilize carefully selected protein sources to address specific health concerns and are enriched with functional ingredients, including probiotics, bioactive vitamins, and DHA and EPA.

VAFO emphasizes that all foods in this range have undergone rigorous testing in veterinary clinics, ensuring their effectiveness and high quality. These products are exclusively available through veterinary clinics and should be administered only after consulting with a veterinarian, according to VAFO’s recommendation.

In addition to these new offerings, VAFO also announced the appointment of Jan Brejcha as the marketing director on September 13th. In his new role, Brejcha will oversee all of VAFO’s brands, with a particular focus on its flagship Brit and Carnilove brands, both in the Czech Republic and in international markets.

Jakub Majer, Chief Executive Officer of VAFO Praha, expressed his excitement, “I’m thrilled to welcome aboard a person of Jan’s caliber. I’m confident he’s going to make a significant contribution to our transformation into a marketing powerhouse with multiple brands, while elevating our key products to the status of European market leaders.”

Brejcha brings extensive marketing experience, both locally and internationally, contributing to the growth of equity, market share, and financials of various companies in the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) sector. His leadership has been instrumental in successful marketing campaigns for renowned brands like Coca-Cola, Plzeňský Prazdroj, Mars, and Mondelēz. Prior to joining VAFO, Brejcha served as the director of marketing at Lidl, a prominent German retail chain.

Brejcha reflected on his extensive experience, stating, “I’ve spent over 20 years working for the largest brands in FMCG, both here at home and abroad,” Brejcha said. “I’ve been fortunate with opportunities, thanks to which I’ve gained experience and skills in a wide range of areas, not just in marketing. And when the chance arose to put all of that to use and become a business development partner in a private Czech company with an amazing product, beautiful brands, wonderful people and big international ambitions, the decision was obvious. Moreover, at home we’ve got three adopted dogs, so, as they say, it’s a matter of the heart for me.”
