Sven Schlager was appointed Petgood’s new chief brand officer and managing director for Germany. The company intends to evolve the brand and expand into new markets this year.
Schlager could collect lots of experience, including 5 years with AlphaPet Ventures.
“I can’t wait to develop the brand, set up the German petgood branch, and tell pet parents all over the world that insects are the way forward,” he stated. The reason why he joined Petgood was the company’s aim to reduce the carbon footprint by 90%.
According to CEO and founder Pernilla Westergren, Sven Schlager comes with “fantastic” expertise and experience in the range of brand establishment and leading.
In 2020, Westergren and Thomas Dalebring co-founded the company in Sweden. In last year’s funding rounds, petgood could raise €2.5 million ($2.7M) to push R&D capabilities and and €1.9 million ($2.1M) for international expansion.
