They plan to complete the deal by the end of August, if official approvals or contractual closing conditions aren’t opposed to it.

PPF’s CEO Gerald Kuehr comments the deal:

“With its strong footprint in Hungary and Europe and successful growth, Kollmax represents a significant opportunity for us to further expand our presence in the snack category. We look forward to welcoming the Kollmax Team into the PPF family and to recognising this acquisition as another major step in the future growth and development of the business.”

Tamás Hölbling explains:

“Looking back over our last 18 years, we can be very proud of the path Kollmax went through. We have created a company which became not only a Hungarian, but also a European, player in the pet snack product category. Our success is a result of strong teamwork, and the entire team and I are very enthusiastic about joining the PPF family, thus offering the next growth phase for both of the parties.”
