According to an announcement of Zooplus, Joost Bous was appointed the company’s new COO succeeding Dr. Mischa Ritter and will join the Executive Committee.
Bous will now be responsible for all of the company’s operations like fulfillment, quality, supply, and R&D.
“I am excited about the opportunity in our category, bolstered by the increase in pet ownership and digitization,” Bous stated.
He aims to take the company’s “logistics and delivery network to the next level, to serve the customer base even more conveniently.”
From 2017 to 2022, Bous served as Supply Chain Director at the Dutch store-chain Action and was even ranked first in the Netherlands Top 26 Supply Chain Directors in 2022. His career perfectly fits into Europe’s leading online pet platform.
Zooplus emphasized that his experience will “enhance the company’s logistics footprint, drive customer-centricity, and elevate the overall customer experience.”
