In late November, Picart Petcare, a Spanish pet food producer, announced the opening of a new facility in Sant Pere de Vilamajor. Described by the company as a significant milestone, this addition reflects Picart’s unwavering commitment to excellence and innovation in the pet food industry.
Founded in 1953, Picart specializes in pet food crafted by veterinarians, utilizing high-quality ingredients to support the overall health and wellness of dogs and cats. With a current staff of 35, the company achieved a turnover of €14.9 million ($16.3 million USD) in 2022.
The newly inaugurated facility is poised to triple Picart’s production capacity, equipped with state-of-the-art technology and advanced machinery aimed at elevating standards in product quality and food safety. According to Picart, the integrated technology ensures complete traceability throughout the production process.
