The RSPCA charity told BBC, that the number left pets rose by 25% (to 22,908) in the first 7 months this year compared to 2021. According to an organisation’s expert, due to the pandemic and rising costs of living, Britians rather refuse to adopt a pet.

The RSPCA’s Animal Kindness Index said, 68 % of pet parents recognized rising costs and even 19 % fear of not affording to feed their pets.
