Jean Grunenwald is set to lead a new division starting on October 1, 2023. Nestlé has affirmed to GlobalPETS that Purina Petcare Europe is establishing a fresh Eastern European region, which will encompass Central and Eastern Europe as well as Southeastern Europe.

Jean Grunenwald, who has been serving as the regional business leader for Nestlé Purina PetCare in Asia, Oceania, and Africa (AOA) for the past four years, will assume the leadership of this newly formed division starting in October.

Grunenwald brings over thirty years of experience with Nestlé, and he previously held the role of managing director of Nestlé in Hungary from 2015 to 2017.

As reported in earlier news, there will be a leadership change in Central Europe, as Hubert Wieser, the current Regional Director of Nestlé Purina PetCare Central Region, will take on Grunenwald’s responsibilities.

Carmen Borsche, who currently holds the position of Cluster Confectionery Business Executive Officer for Germany and Austria, will lead Nestlé Purina PetCare in the DACH region (Germany, Switzerland, and Austria). This marks her first involvement in Nestlé’s pet portfolio.

Nestlé states that this restructuring will constitute the new Nestlé Purina PetCare Central Region.
