The South African pet food manufacturer Montego Pet Nutrition invest around 2 million to combine 3 plants into one dry food factory.
The new plant, located in Centurion, will cover an area of 21,600 m² and shall double the company’s current production capacity. The factory shall mainly produce Montego’s Monty & Me Essential dog food and products for contract partners.
The plan to bring three already existing facilities also includes the company’s centre in Rosslyn.
“The decision to combine all 3 sites into one plant is a significant move for us. This means better customer service, an increase in production, and more opportunities for our staff,” explained Operations Director Marco van Jaarsveld.
In order to improve delivery service by minimizing costs and shortening delivery time, Montego Pet Nutrition has opened a new warehouse and distribution center.
