Mondi has launched FlexiBag Reinforced, a new line of recyclable, mono-polyethylene-based packaging with enhanced mechanical properties ideal for pet food. This packaging allows for customizable levels of post-consumer recycled (PCR) content to meet future regulatory requirements. German pet food manufacturer mera is using FlexiBag Reinforced, containing 35% PCR, for its vegan dry dog food, seamlessly integrating it into their existing packaging system. “We are passionate about animal welfare and sustainability,” said Enes Tajic, purchasing manager at mera.
