Assuming the role of Chief Executive Officer at Oterra effective January 1, 2024, will be Martin Sonntag.
Cees de Jong, Chairman of the Board of Directors at Oterra, praised Sonntag’s international leadership, “Martin is an experienced international leader with a strong track record in the global food and beverage ingredients industry. His plug-and-play knowledge will surely solidify and accelerate Oterra’s further development and growth in the coming years.”
Before becoming part of Oterra, Sonntag served as the Head of Global Plant-Based Nutrition in the executive leadership team at Doehler. His professional journey includes roles such as Senior Vice President of Global Strategy and Business Development at Ingredion Inc., Executive Investment Partner at Adcuram Group AG, and General Manager of Dow Wolff Cellulosics at Dow Chemical.
Sonntag, who holds a chemical engineering degree from Hamburg University, expressed his eagerness, saying, “I am truly looking forward to joining Oterra — a company with an impressive and relevant product portfolio in natural colors and unique application capabilities.
