HiProMine has successfully completed the second phase of its Genetic Center in Robakowo, Poland, focusing on insect breeding and genetics to become a leading protein supplier to Europe’s pet food industry. The center, described as the largest and most modern in Europe for Hermetia illucens breeding, has significantly boosted the company’s production capacity by about 20-fold since its first phase launch. Meanwhile, Kormotech reported impressive growth with revenues reaching US$152 million last year, showing a growth rate over 22% compared to 2022. Additionally, aiming for expansion, Kormotech plans to capture 10% of Romania’s pet food market by 2028. On another note, Denmark-based BHJ has acquired the Australian pet food producer Staughton Group for US$100 million, expanding its global presence.
