The world’s leading pet supply fair Interzoo celebrated great success with its first in-person event after this difficult time. The organiser WFZ welcomed 28,000 visitors from 129 countries, exploring stands of 1,329 exhibitors from 59 countries and received positive responses from all participants throughout.
At the pet fair, the big pet industry enterprises could obtain new motivation while struggling with supply problems, price increases and raw materials scarcity. According to WZF, the exhibitors “praised the high quality of the trade visitors and are going home with full contact lists to turn the connections they made here into future business.”
For the first time, there was arranged the Interzoo Fresh Ideas Contest where a jury decorates the company with the most innovative ideas. The German company Prombyx that uses recylced by-products from silk production as protein source could come in first, followed by Sustainable People, a German enterprise with its focus on biodegradable poo bags for dogs and the Singaporean company Protenga using insect protein.
