Israeli company Galam was permitted by the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Food Supply (MAPA) to import und sell its probiotic products for animal feed in the Latin American nation now. GOFOS has already been used for human intake for two years.

“Galam has entered into cooperation with the biggest worldwide brands that are also present in the Brazilian market and we have been waiting for the approval to include GOFOS into their formulas, as well as other local pet food and animal nutrition companies in Brazil”, she emphasized to GlobalPETS.
With an investment of $30 million (€27.8M) into a new production facility to “double its production capacity, resulting in additional thousands of tons per year.”
Operating in over 50 countries already including the Latin American countries Chile, Argentina, Brazil, Peru, Bolivia, Colombia, Costa Rica and Mexico, Galam is now working on expand to the rest of the world.
