LeClerc provides its customers a container vending machine in the parking area where pet owners can buy pet food 24/7. Customers can get dry kibble for both dogs and (sterilized) cats, produced by pet food company Sopral.
The purchasers can bring their own bags or buckets and easily pay by credit card.
Consumers can even save money since the prices are about 25% and 18% lower compared to the 2 kg bags in the store. Bulk kibble is tagged at € 2.45 / kg for dogs and € 2.95 for cats.
The hypermarket will publish a line of containers that fit to its bulk range in the petfood section.
