Elanco Animal Health has appointed a new territory business manager, Niall Claffey, and key account manager, April Higgins, to its Irish team.

Claffey has formerly worked in a livestock trade business leading a flock of dairy cattle. At Elanco, he will work together with veterinarians to find solutions for farmers and pet parents across Eastern Ireland.

“Agriculture is a changing industry, with a large focus on environmental sustainability,” Claffey explained. “As animal health plays a key part in reducing livestock-related emissions, I wanted to be able to play a part in providing solutions to help achieve this. That’s why I jumped at the chance for working as part of the Elanco team.”

April Higgins who currently operates a beef and sheep farm out of her home possesses experience both in account management in the pharmaceutical industry and in the livestock feed industry. In her new role, she provides support for buying groups in Southern Ireland.

“Taking on this new role has allowed me to realign my focus and I’m excited to be taking the next step in my career with such a progressive, innovative company,” Higgins stated.

Elanco‘s sales manager of Ireland, Rona Campbell, claims that the new managers will help to increase the company’s expansion across Ireland.

“These new appointments will be valuable assets to help bolster our existing team, as they support our customers and the wider farming and pet industries,” Campbell shared.
