Taking on the role of chief regulatory officer at Alltech is Dr. Colm Moran, who brings over 20 years of experience with the company. Previously serving as the director of European regulatory affairs and chairing Alltech’s crisis management team, Moran is set to strengthen Alltech’s regulatory strategy under his leadership, positioning the company as a pioneer in delivering innovation to its customers, as stated by Dr. Mark Lyons, president and CEO of Alltech.

With an extensive 23-year career in the feed industry, Moran has specialized in zootechnical studies for registering feed additives for livestock and poultry species. His educational background includes a bachelor’s degree in biotechnology from the University of Wales, Cardiff, and three master’s degrees in food biotechnology, food regulatory affairs, and brewing and distilling from the University of Strathclyde, University of Ulster/University College Dublin, and Heriott-Wyatt University, respectively. Additionally, he holds a Ph.D. in fermentation microbiology from the University of Plymouth.

Having published over 70 peer-reviewed articles in his field, Moran possesses a robust academic record. He holds two international patents and has presented at numerous international conferences. Based in Marseille, France, Moran also contributes to the International Feed Industry Federation (IFIF) as a member of the board of directors.
