German startup Wynn Petfood has become the first in the pet food industry to pack all its premium dog food products, including wet food, in 100% paper-based packaging, developed by Koehler Paper. The Koehler NexPlus Advanced paper provides robust protection against oxygen, grease, and mineral oil, meeting Wynn’s goals of resource-efficient and recyclable packaging. This move aligns with Koehler’s sustainability mission, as paper packaging significantly reduces resource consumption and CO2 emissions compared to traditional cans. The NexPlus paper line offers recyclable options with various barrier properties, suitable for food and non-food applications, which aim to replace plastic packaging.
