Viterra has reached an agreement to acquire five Cargill GrainFlow storage and handling sites in South Australia and western Victoria, along with a mobile ship loader. This acquisition aims to enhance the grain supply chain’s efficiency and reduce freight rates by up to 25% in certain areas. Viterra plans to invest $25 million AUD into the sites over the next two years, with continued annual investments. The deal is pending approval from the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission and the Foreign Investment Review Board.
