As reported by petworldwide, Suziria Group has announced a $2 million grant agreement with USAID’s Investment for Business Resilience Activity (IBR) to open a new wet pet food production facility in Kalush, Ukraine. The company will also co-invest $4.5 million through loans and its own funds. This initiative follows a rocket attack on their Kharkiv warehouse, prompting a shift in production to the west of the country. The new facility will create 130 jobs, reduce production costs, and enhance Suziria’s capacity to meet consumer demand. Suziria aims to phase out imports, expand its sales area, and eventually export wet pet food to the European market.
