On 18th January, the Suziria Group turned 30 but without any big party. In lieu thereof, the group has established the charitable project Tails Changes in cooperation with one of Ukraine’s biggest non-governmental organisations.

Through the project, Suziria donated 2 million Ukrainian hryvnia (over 50 000 euros) fort he rebuilding of the animal shelter “Best Friends“ near Kyiv, that was destroyed by several artillery shells and air attacks. According to the company, thousands of pets can be saved.

“The investment in the ‘Best Friends’ animal shelter is the start of large-scale structural changes to all pet shelters in our country, where pets without a family will not only receive the necessary care, but will also – and this is the most important thing – be adopted successfully,” explains Polina Kosharna, co-owner and board chairperson of the Suziria Group. Next to the reconstruction, Suziria is establishing a training programme for founders of animal shelters improving the administrative system to meet international standards for pet work.

In 2022, the company helped to pet shelters, kennels, sveral organisations, volunteers and private individuals by donating over 128 tonnes of pet food and 12,400 units of pharmaceuticals valuing 12 million Ukrainian hryvnia (over 300 000 euros). Furthermore, Suziria motivates its foreign production partners to provide help for Ukrainian pets. At this point in time, Suziria is supporting around 60,000 dogs and cats.
