At the International Pet Conference in Brussels on 16 October 2024, Polina Kosharna of Ukraine’s Suziria Group received the prestigious Pet Personality Award 2024. Ralf Majer-Abele, Editor-in-Chief of PET worldwide, presented the award, recognizing Kosharna’s remarkable leadership during challenging times, particularly following the Russian attack on Ukraine. Despite the devastation, including a missile strike on their Kharkiv warehouse, Kosharna relocated production to western Ukraine, continuing to build new facilities for pet treat production. Her resilience joins a list of esteemed past award recipients in the global pet industry.
