The Czech company, Plaček Group announced its expansion plans of the coming years. The company yet ranks among Europe’s leading pet store chain and wants to increase the number of ist stores to 500 by 2024. CEO Dušan Plaček visualizes 1,000 stores by 2032. Mainly, the Plaček Group concentrates the expansion on the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Poland. Only in Poland (38 mio residents), the management thinks about opening up to 600 stores.
According to to Dušan Plaček though, the company will call off operations in Romania and Croatia. The company is to be rumoured to sell its stores to the Fressnapf Group. This might be a good option since the German company already operates in Croatia and also plans to open its first store in Romania.
