Pet owners are more actively engaged in environmental and animal protection, according to a recent study by DA Direkt in collaboration with human-animal relationship expert Prof. Dr. Andrea Beetz. The study found that 83% of pet owners prioritize the welfare of their animals, which is linked to a heightened environmental awareness. Additionally, a third of pet owners have become more socially active since acquiring their pets, with their involvement in areas like environmental protection, disaster response, and community sports exceeding that of non-pet owners. Prof. Beetz notes that taking responsibility for a pet boosts self-confidence and personal growth.
