The US pet nutrition brand Natoo by PremieRpet is now Champion level member in the Pet Sustainability Coalition (PSC) after the company has conducted different climate actions. Regarding its investment in May, the company says it is “the largest solar power plant in the state of São Paulo”. In November 2022, the company has also obtained a Gold certification from the Green Building Council’s Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) program for its buscuit factory.
“Sustainable practices have always been and will always be a key part of our DNA, which is why we’re proud to join the Pet Sustainability Coalition,” explained Fernando Maluf, vice president of international sales at PremieRpet. “We’re thrilled to be amongst a network of like-minded organizations whose ongoing efforts are leading the way towards a more sustainable pet industry.”
According to PremieRpet and Natoo, reforesting eucalyptus trees, use of rainwater, establishing natural lightning belong to the companies’ sustainability approach.
Aiming to push sustainability in the pet industry, the nearly 200 members of the non-profit organization try to find solutions all together.
