Meatable has strengthened its leadership team by appointing two seasoned industry professionals to support its global expansion. Maiko van der Meer, previously with Tyson Foods and MOWI, has been named director of commerce and will leverage his expertise in meat, poultry, and seafood to drive business growth. Eugene Leong, former commercial director at McCormick & Co., will take on the role of head of Asia, focusing on Meatable’s strategic expansion in the region. CEO Jeff Tripician emphasized that Meatable aims to collaborate with, rather than compete against, the traditional meat industry by offering sustainable, cultivated meat solutions. The company also plans to enhance its presence at major industry events such as IFFA and The Economist Sustainability Week.
