The Ukrainian pet food producer Kormotech continues its production in Lviv, since the company got more than 1,000 distress calls in 6 days.

According to the head of press Kateryna Kovalyuk-Burko, the company still has a large stock of raw materials as well as finished products. Kormotech has already dispatched 11,500 kg of pet food to owners in big Ukrainian cities. Furthermore, the company gave food to a military volunteer that was sent throughout to dogs working for the army.

Kormotech also initiated the “Save pets of Ukraine” charity fund in Lithuania that supplies pets left in the Ukraine with food by asking people going to Kyiv, Kharkiv, Odessa with cargo taking humanitarian aid for animals too.

“There is no logistics for delivery of products to the eastern and southern regions of Ukraine. This issue needs to be resolved as soon as possible,” highlighted the company.

In addition, Kormotech works towards a widen the Law of Ukraine “On Humanitarian Aid” granting the status of humanitarian aid to all goods for pets.

The European Association of Zoos and Aquaria, EAZA, established a donation platform to help zoos in Ukraine.
