Reflecting on their impressive 2023 financial performance, Jollyes notched over £100 million in sales (approximately €115 million) and currently boasts a workforce exceeding 1,000 employees. The company has set ambitious plans to broaden its footprint, aiming to operate 100 sites across the UK by the outset of the upcoming year.
In a recent announcement on November 24th, CEO Joe Wykes unveiled plans for the opening of two new stores in Hull and Reading, marking the 97th and 98th establishments in this flourishing specialist retail chain. Taking the helm at the Reading store is Emily Palethorpe, leveraging her managerial experience from roles at Tesco and Vision Express. Meanwhile, the Hull store will be managed by Ross Hall, who has dedicated his entire career to the UK pet shop industry since his relocation from Australia 17 years ago.
