Following reports of Belgian newspapers, the owners of the pet store chain Tom & Co have sold about half of all shares to Verlinvest investor group. Founders Thierry Le Grelle and Lionel Desclée and their partner Philippe Deschamps will retain the other half. Now, all parties involved wait for permission of the competition authorities. The retailer currently runs 180 stores n Belgum and ist neighbour France. The company intends to bring this number to 250 within the next 4 years, since it could register a sales increase of 10 per cent to 264 mio euros.
The Belgian investment company Verlinvest especially focus on consumer goods, heatlth and online technology.
