KazPetFood is set to build Central Asia’s first large-scale pet food factory, marking a significant shift in the region’s pet food market, which has relied heavily on imports. Scheduled to begin construction in 2025 and become operational by 2026, the plant will produce 40,000 tonnes of dry pet food annually using European equipment and locally sourced raw materials. The new facility will allow the company to expand beyond Kazakhstan into Central Asia and beyond, addressing rising demand amid supply chain disruptions and price hikes for imported pet food.
