A new PLMA study highlights strong optimism for the future of private label brands in Europe, with nine out of ten industry leaders predicting continued growth. While private labels already make up 39% of Europe’s food market, executives anticipate this share to remain resilient. However, they acknowledge challenges such as supply chain disruptions, quality control, and labor shortages as potential hurdles. Geopolitical and climate-related pressures also affect the availability of essential materials. The study gathered insights from over 1,000 executives across 37 European countries.
