The flexible packaging manufacturer Coveris has announced the acquisition of another flexible packaging manufacturer D.K. LAMIN which will offer new access to Poland.

D.K. LAMIN was founded in 1990 and has focused on high-end flexible packaging, laminated films and converted products.

Coveris hopes to push its growth strategy in pet food since D.K. Lamin’s portfolio and qualification “perfectly align” with the exisiting offering.

“We are already a very strong player in the pet food market and with D.K. LAMIN as the newest member of the Coveris Group we see a huge growth potential by adding high value capacity and expertise to our existing business,” said Coveris’ CEO Christian Kolarik. “It is a site with strong focus on a fast-growing domestic market. Together with Pawel Daniluk, the former owner who is staying on board as managing director, we are looking to further invest and leverage its potential on the way forward.”

The acquisition leads to an integration of D.K. LAMIN into Coveris. In order to build up a centre fo high-end packaging in Eastern Europe, D.K. LAMIN will be added to Coveris Pirtó. Coveris built its first production facility in Eastern Europe 3 years ago and now plans to extend its presence in the region.
