Bene Meat Technologies (BMT), in partnership with Czech and UK researchers, revealed that cultivated meat offers a dramatically lower environmental footprint compared to traditional farming. Their study shows that producing 1 kg of cultivated meat requires just 3.1 square meters of land and emits 5.28 kg of CO2, far less than beef’s 20–100 kg CO2 emissions. With further technological advancements, these figures are expected to improve even more, making cultivated meat a sustainable protein alternative.
