Prague-based Vafo Group has acquired a majority stake in the Austrian company Petco, adding popular pet food brands like Wow, Dog’s Love, and Cat’s Love to its portfolio. This acquisition, which brings together two family-owned businesses with a combined annual turnover exceeding 600 million euros, aims to leverage synergies and enhance market presence. Petco will continue to operate independently under the leadership of its founders, Stefan and Katharina Miklauz, while benefiting from Vafo Group’s strategic support.
