James Lacy and Nathan Perry from London-based Denzel’s have been awarded the Food & Drink Heroes Awards.
The company is specialised in healthy and sustainable snacks made out of 100% natural ingredients baked in eco-friendly carbon-neutral ovens. Denzel’s claims their treats contain neither artificial additives nor preservatives.
“We strongly believe that treating your pooch shouldn’t hurt our environment. Which is why Denzel and the team are on a mission to remove single-use plastic within the pet category, and help get more healthy paws on a healthier planet,” the company said.
Denzel’s was one of more than 700 applicants who were whittled down to 14 Food & Drink Heroes winners by a panel of expert judges, who valued the fact that Denzel’s products are authentic in terms of “being natural and sustainable.”
Denzel’s was established in 2018 after obtaining investments from Richard Branson’s venture capital Virgin StartUp. The company sells its products in more than 2,000 across the UK including Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Asda, Jollyes, BP forecourts, SPARs.
