According to the trade magazine PetB2B, dog and cat food prices increased by 19% from January to December in Italy referring to the Italian platform Trovaprezzi.
In September, the strongest increase was registered at 29.59 per cent year-on-year rate. Since September the inflation rate stayed high with 24.13 per cent at the moment.
The costs for pt accessoires have increased by 7.77%. The inflation rate though has grew from September to January this year to 27.07%. The peak was reached at 58.94%. It was recently announced that energy supply costs were falling,” told Marco Sidonio, SEO manager at Trovaprezzi, at PetB2B. “Things are expected to improve in the next few months, which will hopefully also have a positive impact on inflation.”
