Real Pet Food Co. (RPF), an Australian producer of chilled and fresh pet foods, is reportedly exploring a potential sale, with Citi Australia advising on possible options, including a trade sale. Investors Temasek, Hosen Capital, and New Hope Group, who acquired RPF in 2017, previously provided equity funding in 2023 to support the company’s expansion. RPF owns well-known brands such as Nature’s Gift, Billy + Margot, and Ivory Coat, and launched its first insect-based dog food under Billy + Margot last year. The company operates nine manufacturing sites globally and holds the third-largest share in Australia’s pet food market, following Mars Petcare and Nestlé Purina PetCare.
