Pet retailer Fressnapf Austria has moved its headquarters to a new location covering 1,000 m² in Salzburg. “With the new headquarters, we are meeting the needs of our employees and also our pet colleagues,” the company stated.

Fressnapf Austria is also trying a new work approach focussing on personal development instead of productivity only. “The working environment shapes how we feel, think and act. We have set ourselves the goal of combining the functional requirements of an office with an innovative and atmospheric design,” says managing director Hermann Aigner.

Aiming to improve information flow and interdepartmental exchange between associates and different teams, the new location features 45 workplaces and more than 100 seats follwing the desk-sharing model whereupon every enployee can choose their workspace every day. Therefore, employees get a personal tablet PC, WLAN network and a cloud-based telephone equipment.

Employees can also feel free to take their dogs to office. Every fifth employee owns one dog. “We don’t want our employees to have to make either-or decisions between home or flex office, office or doggy day care, but rather we offer a coherent overall concept with our new headquarters,” Hermann Aigner concludes.
