Nestlé is making a substantial investment of €472 million to establish a pet food factory in Mantua, Italy. Set to be completed by 2027, this expansive facility will focus on producing wet pet food and is expected to employ 300 people, featuring a dedicated logistics hub. This move underscores Italy’s strategic importance to Nestlé in the rapidly growing pet care sector. Alongside this, Nestlé Purina PetCare continues its global expansion, with plans to invest $2 billion in factory and capital projects by 2025, and has recently inaugurated a new factory in North Carolina while constructing another in Ohio.
