A survey by the Austrian Pet Food Association (ÖHTV) revealed that nearly each household owns a pet, usually a cat.
By order of the ÖHTV standing in for the leading pet supply companies, the market research company GfK has undertaken the survey. The results show an increase of housholds with pet by 5% to 1.8 mio from 2019 til now.
Pursuant to the study, 28% of all households own a pet while 17% own a dog.
