Mars Incorporated‘s “2023 Sustainable in a Generation Report” highlights significant progress toward its net zero by 2050 goal, achieving an 8% reduction in greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions across its value chain in 2023, building on a 16% total reduction since 2015. The company’s efforts include reformulating pet food recipes with lower carbon ingredients and supporting climate smart agriculture, impacting nearly 1.2 million acres of cropland and 250 farmers in Europe. Mars is also investing $47 million in its sustainable dairy plan, Moov’ing Dairy Forward, to advance its climate-first approach to dairy sourcing.
