Leap Venture Studio & Academy has introduced its eighth cohort for the accelerator program, featuring Omni, a company dedicated to sustainable dog nutrition. This accelerator program is designed to support early-stage startups in the pet care industry, offering resources and $200,000 in funding to founders. Among the selected startups are GeekoVet, specializing in veterinary diagnostic tools, Innovative Pet Lab focused on pet wellness, Scooch providing a pet health subscription, VetVerifi with a vaccination record platform, and WIMBA specializing in pet orthopedics.
Established in 2020 by veterinarian Guy Sandelowsky and Shiv Sivakumar, Omni is committed to improving the sustainability of dog nutrition. The company offers a range of plant-based wet and dry formulas, functional treats, and supplements. Cohort eight is set to launch on March 4 in London and will conclude with a Demo Day on June 13 in New York City. Throughout the program, startups will gain access to resources, mentors, networking opportunities, and brand/marketing services. Founders will also have the opportunity to connect with industry experts and investors from Mars Petcare, Michelson Found Animals, and R/GA Ventures.
