Hill’s Pet Nutrition has partnered with the University of Guelph’s Ontario Veterinary College (OVC) to introduce the Hill’s Pet Nutrition Weight Care Program, aimed at addressing obesity in pets. Sponsored by Hill’s, the initiative provides veterinarians and pet owners with tailored solutions, including nutrition plans, physical therapy, and progress monitoring. Adronie Verbrugghe, DVM, emphasized the program’s role in improving pet health, while specialists such as Shoshana Verton-Shaw and Zahra Rahimi contribute their expertise. Jill Zigomanis, DVM, highlighted Hill’s commitment to strengthening the human-animal bond through proper weight care. The program is now accepting referrals across Ontario, supporting both pet health and veterinary education.
