Hill’s Pet Nutrition has teamed up with the Association for Pet Obesity Prevention (APOP) to tackle the widespread issue of pet obesity, which affects nearly two-thirds of U.S. cats and dogs. Dr. Karen Shenoy, Hill’s US chief veterinary officer, highlighted the importance of equipping veterinarians with effective communication tools to help pet owners address their pets’ weight concerns. The initiative also supports APOP’s annual weight survey and a separate study on biases in veterinary care for overweight pets, which Dr. Leslie Hancock, Hill’s chief medical officer, emphasized as crucial for delivering fair and effective treatment. As part of its broader “End Pet Obesity” campaign, Hill’s continues to focus on improving pet health through proper nutrition and education. The company operates globally, selling its products in over 80 countries and maintaining major facilities in the U.S., Czech Republic, and the Netherlands.
