Das Futterhaus is committed to advancing climate and environmental protection, aiming to save 64 gigawatt-hours of electricity by the end of the year, equivalent to the annual consumption of around 20,000 households. As part of the Retail Trade Group (RTG), Germany’s largest energy efficiency and climate protection network for retailers, Das Futterhaus has pledged to implement energy-saving measures in cooling, lighting, and electricity management. The company highlights that, since 2019, it has reduced CO2 emissions in its centrally managed stores by 50% through targeted energy efficiency initiatives.
