This technology uses heat and pressure to create puffed products, meeting growing consumer demand for healthier, more sustainable snacks with benefits like reduced sugar content and improved shelf life. Christoph Vogel, Head of Human Nutrition at Bühler, highlighted the technology as transformative for recipe innovation. Notably, it achieves over 95% yield while cutting energy use by 50%, aligning with sustainability objectives. Bühler also plans to launch an Application & Training Center in Uzwil, Switzerland, in April 2025 to support customer innovation.
