Proteine Resources has introduced what it claims to be the world’s first insect-based beef substitute for pet food, developed through extensive research and innovation. Unlike lab-grown or fermented alternatives, this entoprotein-based ingredient is designed for large-scale production, offering a highly nutritious and cost-effective meat replacement. Co-founder and co-CEO Konrad Włodarczyk highlighted its functional benefits, stating that incorporating just 20% of this analog into pet food could help reduce allergies in animals while maintaining familiar flavors. The company has optimized its insect farming process by operating in complete darkness, cutting production time to four weeks and significantly reducing resource consumption. As Proteine Resources expands, co-CEO Bartłomiej Roszkowski noted that their upcoming full-scale pilot factory in Poland and increasing industry partnerships will accelerate growth and commercialization efforts.
