Agroloop Hungary Ltd. has opened Hungary’s first industrial-scale insect protein production facility near Budapest, a €30 million investment spanning 13,000 square meters. The facility processes 120 tonnes of feed daily to produce 250 tonnes of protein meal, 50 tonnes of feed fat, and 900 tonnes of organic fertilizer per month. Agroloop partners with FreezeM Ltd., which supplies black soldier fly larvae (BSFL), enabling sustainable insect farming for animal feed. CEO Rajmond Percze highlights the plant’s role in addressing ecological challenges and its ambition to lead the insect farming industry in Central and Eastern Europe.
