WEDA Dammann & Westerkamp has partnered with Agroloop to develop an insect factory in Hungary, set to be operational this fall and provide insect feed protein and fat for the animal nutrition industries. The insect feed market is projected to reach an annual turnover of €2 billion by 2030, producing 1 million tonnes of insect meal annually. Agroloop has invested over €20 million in the facility, which will span 13,000 square meters and transform 120 tonnes of raw materials per day. WEDA’s feed kitchen processes liquid and dry byproducts into feed mash for black soldier fly larvae, supporting Agroloop’s circular operation with a lower environmental footprint. This partnership aims to make Agroloop a leading player in sustainable feed production in Central Europe, with significant investment promoting expansion and technological development
